Helen Machin

I am Helen and my role is Head of People.

I joined the Business School on secondment in 2018 and enjoyed it so much that I did everything I could to stay! That led me to join JBS Executive Education Ltd (JBSEEL) in 2019 as the first dedicated HR support to the business. I am now a member of the Leadership Team and sit on the Remuneration Committee of our Board.

The past few years has been quite a journey for our business. In terms of our people, we have doubled in size! And I am so very proud of the team we have built and the company we have become. In my opinion, JBSEEL is a wonderful place to work. We occupy the optimal position – rooted in academia and fully aligned with CJBS, but with a corporate, commercial outlook.

We have a very small HR Team of two who look after the staff of JBSEEL. Together we manage all of the practical day-to-day HR activities such as recruitment, pay, annual leave and sickness. My role is focused on initiating and managing strategic projects that enhance the Employee Value Proposition we offer to our staff.
