Psychometrician – PsychometricsHello! I’m Kondwani.
I’m a Psychometrician at the University of Cambridge Psychometrics Centre, where I specialise in test development for clients, educational and psychological measurement, and psychometric research. My work involves designing and evaluating assessments to ensure they are robust, fair, and effective, particularly in education and human resources.
Before joining the Psychometrics Centre, I worked as a Psychometrician at the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER), where I contributed to the psychometric analysis of national assessments, including Ofqual’s National Reference Test (NRT) and new e-Assessment tools. I hold a PhD in Educational Measurement from the University of Oslo, where my research focused on subscore estimation in international large-scale assessments.
Beyond psychometrics, I’m passionate about assessment design, data-driven insights, and innovative measurement solutions. When I’m not working with data and measurement models, I enjoy listening to Amapiano, photography, going to the theatre, and rewatching Cidade de Deus—the best film ever made.
